Abortion in the News

Note: At the end of this blog I have some pictures of babies in the womb, nothing graphic or distressing, but it is in the context of discussing babies at those stages of development being aborted.

The BBC has a report today on abortion. The BBC headline states: Public 'backs easier abortions'. The first paragraph the gives the statistics that appears to say that people want permission for an abortion made easier (emphasis added):

"Women should not have to gain the permission of two doctors to obtain an abortion in Britain, a slim majority of respondents to a survey have said.

"Some 35% said one doctor was enough and 17% thought permission should not needed at all, the poll for pro-choice campaign Abortion Rights found."

In a later paragraph it makes two comments I want to draw your attention to. First, abortion is legal up to 24 weeks and then the statistic that only one doctor should be needed to give permission for an abortion up until the baby is 14 weeks.

Remember, a baby has a recognizable heartbeat and brainwaves from 3 weeks and 6 weeks respectively. I believe abortion at any stage is wrong, but during these time frames a doctor is deliberately stopping a heart beat and brain functions... if they did that to any one outside the womb on purpose it would be murder.

Here are some pictures of babies at the stages that some doctors willingly murder:

   7 Weeks 7 Weeks

7 Weeks027 Weeks

11 Weeks  11 Weeks

12 Weeks 12 weeks
