- Abortion murders innocent babies
- Apart from medical intervention to save the life of the mother no motive for abortion is acceptable
- Abortion harms the mother physically, emotionally and spiritually.
- Life is sacred
- God is the giver and taker of life and it is an affront on God when we murder
- We are not the ones to decide whether a life is worth living
- Abortion is a slippery slope
- As stated before, when our most vulnerable are wilfully murdered then the whole of society will morally collapse
- Support is available
- To that mother or family who face heart ache and difficulties due to an expected child please know there is support.
- You are not alone in the trial and you have friends who will help, advise, comfort and support you.
- To the ones who have already had abortion, please know that God forgives and He heals.
- We are not here to judge you but to show you Christ.
Finally, I want to challenge believers.
- Do not just look the other way - Leviticus 20:1-5
"1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. 4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: 5 Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people."
God does not call us to administer this capital punishment, but in this day of grace God calls us to share the message of forgiveness and salvation. However, this passage demonstrates how seriously God views the murder of innocent children.
Molech was a false god some ancient civilisations worshipped and behind him you will find a devil right out of the pit of hell. I will not share details but children were burned alive to appease this false idol.
A parallel can be drawn to the parents who abort their child because they want to maintain their standard of living, their reputation, their figure, their social life and social standing. Today they are not burned on an altar but many chemical abortions have the same effect upon the unborn baby.
I cannot apologise if this seems overly graphic or if it disturbs you. One of the greatest success stories of the pro-abortion movement has been to move the facts and these gruesome details out of the discussion. They say foetus instead of baby and abortion instead of murder. The pictures are too disturbing to display publicly but they are acceptable to cause.
Apparently it was pictures of the Jewish holocaust that spurred many on to defeat Nazi Germany. Today we face another holocaust with many millions more victims. Some have called it the hidden holocaust.
God challenged Israel and the same challenge is brought to us now - do not hide your eyes, do not turn away, face this wickedness head on and let us do our part to stop the killing.
