In a court ruling covered by BBC News it has been ruled that a young woman does not have to let the father of her child know of the baby's existence.
There are areas in the article that make mention of the fact that the woman wants her child adopted in order to give the baby a better life. This is admirable, but, surely this comes back, in part, to the problem of promiscuity in our society. If the man is not capable of being a father then what business did she have sleeping with the guy?
A deeper and more troubling issue is this: "Lady Justice Arden said the father's rights had not been violated because he did not have any to violate."
Did you get that? The father has no rights... I wonder how that argument would hold if the young woman in question were looking for child support.
The deeper problem is that the government seem to be systematically driving the father out of the family.
The God-ordained family unit includes Father and Mother. The British government's policy seems to be ruling against God's plan. The result? Broken families, broken communities and a broken country.
Due to time constraints I will leave it here. But think on that short statement made by Lady Justice Arden, the father has no rights...
